Cookie Policy

Last updated · May 18, 2026

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. We also use similar technologies (localStorage, sessionStorage, pixel tags, and SDKs) and group them all under "cookies" for clarity here.

The first time you visit MADCAP, we ask you which cookies you want to allow. You can change your mind at any time via the "Manage cookies" link at the bottom of every page (except the Studio chat surface).

2. What cookies we use

Essential.Always on. Keeps you signed in, holds your cart, secures the site against attacks. Without these, the site can't function. Includes our authentication store (lid-auth-store) and the chat session store (lid-chat-store).

Analytics.Off by default. If you opt in, we use Google Analytics (via Google Tag Manager) to understand which designs are popular, where users drop off, and how to improve the Service. Your IP address is truncated; we don't use analytics cookies for cross-context advertising.

Marketing.Off by default. If you opt in, we may use cookies from advertising platforms (e.g. Meta, TikTok) to show you our ads on other sites and measure their effectiveness. As of the last-updated date above, we haven't yet activated any marketing cookies; this category will be live before any paid social campaign begins.

We do not use cookies that are not in one of the categories above.

3. Managing your choices

Click "Manage cookies"in the footer at the bottom of any page to reopen your cookie preferences. You can toggle Analytics and Marketing independently. Essential cookies can't be turned off because the site won't work without them.

You can also delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. Most browsers let you block all third-party cookies. Doing so will block Analytics and Marketing categories regardless of your preference here.

For US residents seeking the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" opt-out under CCPA/CPRA, see Privacy Choices.

4. Do Not Track signals

Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal. The DNT standard never reached consensus and we don't currently honor it as a separate signal. We do honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal: if your browser sends GPC, we treat it as an opt-out of marketing cookies and any "sale" or "sharing" under CCPA/CPRA.

5. Changes to this policy

We'll update this Cookie Policy when our cookie use materially changes. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects when. We'll re-prompt you for consent at most once every 12 months.
